CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL ACCREDITED THROUGH 2021

Centennial High School has received full accreditation through 2021 from the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) at the Spring 2017 Commission Meeting.

“Centennial High School’s four year accreditation is a great example of what can happen when a school has strong leadership with a clear vision toward student success,” said CUSD Board of Trustees President Satra Zurita.  “We applaud Centennial for this great achievement.”

In the accreditation report, the Commission noted that Centennial had created a safe school environment, improved student achievement and demonstrated progress toward an action plan that includes researched and data based instructional practices.

From ACS WASC’s website: “ACS WASC accreditation assures the educational community, the general public, and other organizations and agencies that an institution has clearly defined objectives appropriate to education; has established conditions under which their achievement can reasonably be expected; appears in fact to be accomplishing them substantially; is so organized, staffed, and supported that it can be expected to continue to do so; and demonstrates that it meets ACS WASC’s criteria and accreditation standards.”
